Springfield School-Based Programs provide quality extended-day care to children ranging from kindergarten to fourth grade in both of Delaware County’s Springfield School District elementary schools. Before school care begins at 7am, and kindergarten enrichment is offered in two sessions during the day to supplement the school district’s half-day program. Afterschool care continues from the end of the school day until 6pm. To learn more about MELC’s daily schedule and curriculum, click here.
Our school-based programs provide a safe and fun environment for children to spend their out-of-school time. Our qualified and friendly teachers provide creative activities to keep children engaged and are available for homework help. Springfield’s programs incorporate “Quirkles” curriculum, which integrates science and language arts with colorful books and experiments for the children. As enhancements to our daily programs, fun-filled activities include foreign language lessons, music, Mad Science, sports, and Briar Bush Nature Center. Special events at the Springfield school programs include service projects, book parties, and a carnival for parents and siblings.
