The Jenkintown School-Based Program provides quality extended-day care to children ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade in the Jenkintown School District elementary school. Before school care begins at 7am, and kindergarten enrichment is offered in two sessions during the day to supplement the school district’s half-day program. Afterschool care continues from the end of the school day until 6pm. Jenkintown’s school-based program is accredited by the National After-School Alliance (NAA). Our school-based programs provide a safe and fun environment for children to spend their out-of-school time. Our qualified and friendly teachers provide creative activities to keep children engaged and are available for homework help. As enhancements to our daily programs, fun-filled activities include foreign language lessons, music shows, sports, Briar Bush Nature Center, Color Me Mine Ceramics, a variety of animal shows, photography, and a puppet show. Special events at the Jenkintown school-age  program include special lunches, a scary story contest, service projects, family celebrations, and a reading contest.
