Colonial School-Based Programs provide quality extended-day care to children ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade in all Colonial School District elementary schools. Before school care begins at 7am and the afterschool program continues from the end of the school day until 6pm. All Colonial school-based programs participate in Keystone STARS, a voluntary, state-funded quality initiative. To learn more about MELC’s daily schedule and curriculum, click here.

Our school-based programs provide a safe and fun environment for children to spend their out-of-school time. Our qualified and friendly teachers provide creative activities to keep children engaged and are available for homework help. As enhancements to our daily programs, fun-filled activities include Mad Science, sports, and Briar Bush Nature Center. Special events at the Colonial school programs include a local restaurant tour, Thanksgiving feasts, a scarecrow decorating contest at Halloween, and a football tailgate party with parents and siblings.
