Summary
Montgomery Early Learning Centers has a
Site Supervisor Teacher position at the
Cynwyd Elementary School in Bala Cynwyd, PA. The Site Supervisor Teacher is responsible for the overall management and daily operation of the school age program in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations as well as in accordance with all MELC policies as stipulated in the agency’s Policies and Procedures Handbook.

Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood education or child development, special education, elementary education and 2 years experience working with children.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Deliver consistent and appropriate program of instruction to students as assigned.
- Maintain records of student attendance and report as required.
- Maintain records of student achievement and report as required.
- Establish and maintain a physical environment in assigned space to support student learning.
- Establish and maintain an emotional environment to minimize behavior or attendance problems, and to maximize student learning and self respect.
- Demand and support the development of interpersonal relationships among assigned students that enhances the learning environment.
- Perform assigned non teaching duties that are appropriate within the scope of professional responsibility.
- Establish and maintain communication with parents regarding student behavior and academic achievement that supports the enhancement of student outcomes.
- Establish and maintain communication with staff to support a positive building climate and to enhance student achievement and affect.
- Participate in Instructional support efforts for assigned students as appropriate.
- Maintain supplies in proper condition. Be accountable for inventory.
- Competent in emerging and evolving instructional strategies that demonstrate effective student outcomes.
- Support extracurricular activities as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned and are consistent with professional practice and responsibility.
Montgomery Early Learning Centers staff are expected to perform all duties relevant to the delivery of quality child care for children of varying ages. As such, employees will be in good health as certified by a physician. In addition, employees must be physically capable of performing tasks which may include, but are not limited to, lifting, carrying, supporting, and otherwise caring for children - infant through school age.
